Kelly the lovely cat has been keeping me company while I house sit. Our conversations revolve around patting and breakfast :-)

Mackay

Adventures in singing took me up to Mackay for the first time. There was a good stretch of beach and the most amazing aqua water, clear as cut glass.
The Pine Islet Lighthouse was the last operational kerosene light in Australia.

Think Pink!

I attended the Think Pink! Ball yesterday and what should I see in the garden this morning but this little beauty.
So this picture is dedicated to all those courageous women who have encountered cancer, and to the wonderful people supporting them. xo

Dublin

In Dublin's fair city... where the girls are so pretty... Of course one is going to see sweet Molly Malone... but which one?

Downpatrick

Said to be the site of St Patrick's grave, this little town is home to the St Patrick Centre which houses a fascinating exhibit on Ireland's patron saint. Ridding the entire country of snakes is among the many things attributed to St Pat.

Belfast (part 2)

Belfast is a famous ship building town. Sadly the most famous ship to have left also never returned. In the shadow of the Belfast Eye (yes they have one of those wheels too) is the memorial to the Titanic. One of the many murals in the town also stands as a memory.
